The symmedia company headquarters are based on the historical site of the Dürkoppwerke in the centre of Bielefeld.

symmedia was founded in 1997 by Peter Barkowsky together with eight companies in the industry. Partners such as Dr. August Oetker KG, Böllhoff GmbH or the Gundlach Group contribute to our company’s long-term success.

symmedia SP/1 is the primary software used in proactive service and condition monitoring in the machine construction industry. Leading companies such as AUDI AG, SMS Siemag, manroland and Bucyrus have successfully been relying on our software for years for the online administration of their systems.
